Portfolio / Silkscreen

Process

Mesh and squeegee

The frame on the bench — magenta and gold on the mesh, a pull just taken, the paper still wet beside it.

Silkscreen is slower than the UV line and more physical. The graphic is separated into colours, each burned on a screen, then pulled by hand.

This frame is the first colour of a two-ink job. Registration for the next pass is marked on the paper. What looks simple in the photograph is a morning of mixing, taping, and test pulls.
