Engrave
Walnut plaque
A fiber-laser emblem burned into walnut, with smoke-dark edges and the mark sitting in the grain rather than on it.
Wood engraving is a conversation with the grain. The emblem is drawn as a vector, then the laser is tuned so the burn is deep enough to read and shallow enough not to tear the walnut.
No fill colour and no varnish. The piece is the mark and the timber. Pre-press here means a clean path, a test burn on scrap, then the plaque.
